This is my post to thank Amy at Through the Eyes of Liam for issuing me this award!

My liebster award

3) Answer the 10 questions posed by the blogger who nominated you
4) Select 3 – 5 bloggers for the award
5) Pose 10 new questions to the new nominees
6) Post the award on your blog

Here are the answers to the questions Amy posted for me;

1. What is your favourite mom moment so far?
Jack blowing a party blower (the ones that uncurl and make a sound when you blow them) for the first time – it took him about an hour to get it to work properly but he was determined and was then ecstatic when he first got it!  There have been so many ….

2. Why did you start blogging?
My husband encouraged me, after we’d both found so much information and comfort from online resources – in particular on the Nystagmus Blog by Jen and Ashely Bacon when Jack was first diagnosed.  I’m so thankful we have the internet.

3. What would you say to new parents of a special needs child?
Research as much as you can and get in touch with others in a similar situation to learn and share experiences.

4. What is one thing you want your children to know in case you forget or are not around to tell them one day?
They have made my life complete :-)

5. What did having a baby change the most for you and your lifestyle/plans for your life?
Our plans always included having children, but with having two close together, I’ve had lots of early nights for the past few years!  Also, Jack’s diagnosis has made me view disability in general in a whole new light.

6. What are you most afraid of when it comes to parenting?
Being outnumbered by boys!

7. What is one thing you miss from your pre-children days?
Holidays

8. What’s the cutest thing your baby(s) do to take your breath away?
Jack sometimes put his arms round my legs for a cuddle and goes “awwww”.  I also love the way he pronounces words e.g please is peas.  Isaac laughs and giggles a lot, and is a super splasher in the bath (it’s the one time he holds his own with Jack).

9. What’s the grossest mess you have had to clean up in your house since becoming a parent?
Definitely the failed potty training attempts with Jack (luckily only no.1’s).  We had to get our carpet professionally cleaned it smelt so bad despite my scrubbing attempts at the time.

10. What is one thing your child/children have taught YOU?
Anything is fair game for destruction!

And here are my nominations;

1.  Jen and Ashley Bacon at Nystagmus Blog
2.  Ashleigh at As Makayla Sees It
3.  Sarah at The Will to See
